Do you want to attract more customers to your store?
Do you want to offer a 'perk' to your customers, without hiring additional staff?
We work together to present 'a day in the garden with Gwen', offer consulting, plant selection, and education for your customers.
HGTV has made gardening and landscaping popular and customer expectations high while your margin for profit remains slim. Competition is stiff with box stores like Home Depot and Lowes offering plants at cost. How can you create an edge and draw more people to your business? Do you want to 'move' stock or feature plants? We highlight your plants on our blog and direct customers to your web pages and stores. For wholesalers we feature your plants and encourage customers to request them from their contractors or local nurseries. The cost for this service is a link to this web page on your website and a discount for Gwen's clients at your stores.
A day in the garden with Gwen:
1/2 Day Consult: A landscape designer meets onsite with customers, collaborates with client on custom design ideas using plants and products from your nursery. You would advertise this as a fee service or as a customer perk. One idea is to offer discounts for all customers who pay and use this service. Your sign might read: "The designer is in....come on (date/time) to receive a dedicated professional to review your design ideas and select plants. 30 minute time slots available."
During busy times hire our designers to assist customers in selecting the right plants for their landscape. This decreases product returns, increases customer satisfaction and builds a devoted consumer base. Your sign might read: "The designer is in....come on (date/time) to receive a dedicated professional to help in your plant selection. First come first serve or by appt. -- 20 minute time slots available."
Attract customers on low sales days with a landscape presentation. Gwen has a Master's degree in Instructional Design and taught at CCAC and presented for garden groups. If you would like to educate your staff or customers, Gwen will develop and present topics of your choice (shade gardening, top ten mistakes homeowners make in their landscape, plants with winter interest, deer in the landscape etc). Your sign might read: "Join us on (date) for a presentation on Shade gardening. See selected plant combinations pulled together at our nursery and learn about their uses in your landscape. Sign ups preferred."
Signs for advertising are provided by Landscape and Garden Design by Gwen, LLC for the cost of production.
