This was a fun job that created loads of curb appeal. Though the stone was beautiful, the width was not in scale with the house. We widened the walk and created beds. Now mom and kids can walk side by side holding hands with plenty of space.
North Side: Thaw House
The landlord of this multi-dwelling home on the north side of Pittsburgh renovated the entire inside leaving all of the beautiful original trim, fire places and character of the historic home. This year it was time to tackle the outside to provide a communal tenant space for grilling, gathering and improve the aesthetics. Renters park in the back of the house and essentially the back yard is what welcomes them home. Revisit this site next year to see spring and summer pictures. One of the residents loves to garden and once we had the bones in place she fills in with annuals and perennials.
New Construction: Front Yard
This project included stone steps, walk, and seating area.
South Hills Stone Work
Stone work by Petrelli The Owners wanted a functional patio which tied to the drive way. They didn't use the backyard and the steps led to 'nowhere.' So we repurposed the use of the hill with a retaining wall and bench.
Fox Chapel Wall and Patios
Installation by Steel City Landscape The owners had two children and two dogs and needed a space to entertain and eat. Due to water problems and decaying wood, owners removed old decking to install drainage. Part of the project included creating an aesthetic patio next to the pool. After the project started the family was relocated so they modified the plan for selling the house.
